by THOMAS D. WILLIAMS, PH.D. One of the world’s leading experts on Christian persecution and the author of the 2013 bestseller The Global War on Christians, Allen spoke with Breitbart News Executive Chairman and SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon on Thursday, recounting the rising tide of violence targeting Christians worldwide. Allen insisted that the term “war” against Christians is a precise description of what is going on, not in the sense of “a unified command structure” but in the massive “body count” and the cohesive motive of hatred against the Christian faith. By J.D. King The churning, tempestuous world looks remarkably different than many imagine. This is undoubtedly true if you're an average American. In the darkest corners of the Middle-East there’s a revival beginning that's unprecedented in the history of world missions. I've previously reflected on it hereand here, but I wanted to take this amazing story further than before.
Hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants have sought a better life in Europe. Pakistani Faisal Javaid became a Christian after he arrived in Sweden.
"I don't have any more belief in Islam," he told CBN News. Javaid fell in love with Eka, a Christian woman from the country of Georgia who introduced him to Christ. He was baptized last April, but unlike many other migrants, Javaid soon faced rejection from his host country. Source: NY Times

By Ari Yashar On the same weekend in which it threatened to "annihilate" Israel following the nuclear deal it struck with global powers, Iran experienced a mind-boggling 164 degrees (73 Celsius) heat index reading last Friday, in what some might see as a warning by the Almighty Himself that all options are on the table. The heat index, also know as the "feels-like" temperature, combines air temperature and humidity to give an accurate reading as to how the human body perceives the relative temperature. As Iran entered the current heat wave breaking on the Middle East last Thursday, temperatures at the Manshahr Airport in southwest Iran's Bandar Mahshahr, home to over 100,000 people, hit 109 degrees (43 Celsius) with a dewpoint of 90 degrees (32 Celsius). Those figures compute out to an incredible 159 degrees (70 Celsius).
The Christian Post reports the contest began Sunday (June 21) and will conclude June 27. It is being held in mosques within the terrorist group’s Syrian caliphate.
A Clarion Project report said that Quran memorization contests are not an uncommon way to celebrate the Muslim holiday. "Ramadan is a time of year where Muslims are meant to rejuvenate their faith. Memorizing the Quran is considered a pious and worthy thing to do and many memorization competitions are held around the world, especially during Ramadan, the report said. However, ISIS’ version of the contest is deplorable, not only for its “prizes,” but also for the Quran passages it selected. ISIS picked out the most “warlike passages of the entire Quran,” according to the Clarion Project. |
